SUMMARY:Lord Terrington's Scandals
DESCRIPTION:Bro Keith Kaye has developed an interest in Variety Theatre History after remembering some years ago\, that as a boy\, he had seen Laurel and Hardy live on stage at the Leeds Empire.  Researching one’s subject can lead down many roads. \nOne such highway lead me indirectly to the second Lord Terrington.  His Lordship was for many years associated with Hull showman Percy Sykes Newbound.  And it was Lord Terrington’s indiscretions which in part lead to the downfall of Newbound’s interests in Hull and Bridlington. This is a story of fraud\, adultery\, bankruptcy\, absconsion\, and the eventual imprisonment of a man whose family history starts in Flamborough.
