The evening started with a brief AGM. Highlights were the reappointment of Michelle Stephens as Prior and Bro Robert Amos as Sub Prior for the second year of their two year terms, and yet another significant increase in membership over the last year. The society now has about 80 members.

Afterwards Sarah Hutchinson gave a brief review of the central library improvements to be carried out during the summer. Unfortunately this means the Local History section will be closed for the duration.

She also brought lots of photographs from the central library Local History collection. She asked for help in identifying the locations and adding information about them.

Members then circulated around the tables covered with the old photographs adding details on the reverse in pencil where they could. There was much discussion between members and it was surprising what knowledge the members collectively could contribute.
