The Yorkshire coast from Saltburn to Bridlington is a world famous geological treasure. The continual layers of Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks cover over 100 million years of earth’s history, and are packed full of fossils. This talk will take you through the geological history of the coast and show how the beautiful landscapes of the Wolds and Moors are dictated by the underlying rocks.
