From the 1830s onwards the Victorians completely revolutionised the way people celebrated Christmas as age old traditions were moulded and shaped to create the celebration and traditions that we are so familiar with. This talk outlines some of the key developments, innovations and changes that took place during this period and why the Victorians thought change was necessary.
